Special Olympics Great Britain is set up to organise and promote athletics, right across Great Britain, for adults with learning difficulties - our donation is going to the South East Hampshire section.

Diabetes, of course, affects all ages, though late onset diabetes means that the proportion of elderly people suffering is quite large. With centres UK-wide offering help, advice and performing fund-raising, the organisation also has a larger head office co-ordinating research.

Special Olympics write...
"On behalf of all the athletes in our group, may I say a very big thank you to yourself and all of your players at Guitar Workshop.
It was a delightful surprise to receive your letter and cheque for the magnificent sum of £331.59 raised from your concert.
...
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year."

Diabetes UK write...
"Thank you very much for your generous donation of £331.58 to Diabetes UK.
...
Please accept this letter as our official receipt of the donation, with our grateful thanks. Your kind donation really will make a difference to the lives of people with diabetes."
