Our now-traditional Christmas Party was held on 14th December - visit our 2017 Photo Gallery to see more shots from the party.
Rich, our Leader and Pub-Finder-General wrote a fantastic quiz about pieces from the hago playlist and managed to show how poor we all are at quizzes.
At our rehearsal last night on 30th November, we were delighted to make a presentation - Avril becomes the third player in the history of hago to have reached 300 attendances.
As is the tradition, she received a certificate and a small gift of appreciation from the Musical Director, Derek Hasted, who announced that he was retiring from hago on 14th December after 19 years.

November 2017
We played a concert at Weeke Community Centre on November 18th, in aid of their Fusion Fund. We're delighted to report that they raised almost exactly £450! Our charity fundraising total now stands at £74817

Our concert at Salisbury Methodist Church on November 11th raised £763.80 for The Listening Place - a fantastic total - thank you to everyone who came and made that total possible!

Really enjoyed last night so a big thank you to the orchestra. The one part that struck me was the middle section of 'If you leave me now' - an unbelievable get out of jail chord sequence behind the melody. Can't imagine how he came up with that and, as usual, Derek's arrangements are pretty special. Bravo to the lot of you!

It was our birthday rehearsal today, and Viv produced a jolly fine cake for us to hoover up.

Today is hago's 18th birthday!
On Thursday, at rehearsal, we shall, as you might guess, over-indulge with cake, and we'll try to post a picture of the cake before it's chopped up and consumed with gusto.
Thursday is also a working day for us as we have a private booking that we are rehearsing for.
