La Bamba - 4 or 5 Guitars

This is a really easy to play concert piece which is ideal for a mixed ability school group or for an adult quartet, quintet or large ensemble.

This one edition can be played with 4 or 5 parts.

Four of the parts are early intermediate (though Guitar 1 as a few "ossia" bars, and one can play the early intermediate version, or a slightly harder version that goes high up the neck near the end).

The optional bass part will suit a beginner, and it's supplied in treble or bass clefs, so it can be played on classical guitar, or on an octave or electric bass.

Either of these parts can be played in both formats in a large ensemble - everything fits together.

But the piece works perfectly without the bass as well...

This arrangement was a firm favourite with the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra (HAGO) and their audiences.
