Speak Softly Love - the gentle and haunting tune by Nino Rota - features as the Love Theme to The Godfather film.
My arrangement suits a duo with modest experience - centred around "early intermediate". There are two verses, and the role of "tune" and "accompaniment" swap over. The first verse has a conventional arpeggio accompaniment, and the second verse has a countermelody which sits above the tune.
Perfect for school concerts, or an reflective interlude in an adult concert.
