Sample
From Penultimate Waltz
This piece is a little longer than most of the Diff'rent Dances, and uses the full compass of the Ensemble Guitars to create a tall and clear sound. Line two has a series of counter-melodies which flow and breath in a way which helps the tune phrase itself. The piece is divided into sections, and each section figures in the total piece more than once, giving the illusion of a complex piece with less to practise!
And the title? Well, "the Last Waltz" sounds so terribly final....
