This inspiring TV theme makes a great concert piece for 2 guitars or indeed a large ensemble.
The original is very short, but I've duplicated the main phrases and added an optional repeat to make a more substantial piece, and the surprisingly rich chord sequences and gentle modulations mean that the piece doesn't sound at all repetitive.
I've provided two arrangements. One has a tune player and a chord player (perfect for a mixed ability duo, or a duo comprising an acoustic guitar and a classical guitar). The other arrangement swaps roles at each phrase, to give a real stereo effect. The notes are identical, so that in a large ensemble, one can even mix and match the two arrangements to suit a range of abilities.
The chords are named as well as notated, and skilled players might like to experiment with shapes in higher positions.
The first arrangement will suit early intermediate to intermediate players. The second arrangement needs quick chord placement at each swapping place making both parts intermediate standard.
- I've also made a single arrangement for flute and guitar duet
