This is one of those timeless pieces that gets an audience's toes tapping. Although arranged for 4 guitars, a larger ensemble will add more power and projection to the sound.
Many singers have covered this, but my arrangement uses the textures and countermelodies of the original and perhaps most famous version, including the delicious chord changes before the final refrain.
There are some glissandi in three of the parts - these need to be fast, and with the second note plucked rather than slurred. If your ensemble sounds untidy doing these, just plucked notes will work very well instead.
The key is different from the original, but is chosen to make the very best of the guitar's range, from a bottom D (in Guitar 4, with the bottom string tuned down a tone) to a top F# on fret 14, giving a bright and clear texture to the piece.
