Hold My Hand - 4 Guitars/large ensemble

On December 9th 2025, the UK’s BBC TV announced that Jess Glynne’s ”Hold My Hand” was TikTok’s UK Song of the Year. Two days later, here is my arrangement for 4 guitars (or large ensemble).

UK TV viewers also know the music as the backing for Jet2 Holiday’s TV ads.

The music is deliberately accessible to intermediate players, but a full-speed performance needs more advanced players. But then again, the sweet sound of the Classical Guitar means that a more leisurely rendition works beautifully.

If playing from paper (rather than a tablet), there is a page turn in each part, but this has been chosen where there are rests in the music.

• Guitars 1,3 and 4 need to play pages 1&2, then turn over to reveal pages 3&4.

• Guitar 2 needs to play page 1, then turn over to pages 2&3, then turn over page 4.

Guitar 1 follows the more elaborate and high-up-the-neck version of the tune right at the end, but a reprise of earlier and easier version of the tune is printed as an alternative.

The rhythm will take a little bit of rehearsal, but the reward is a complex sounding and powerful piece of music.
