I've organised Workshop Concerts for Charity since 1989 - highlights in our year for many reasons :

• My players have a real goal and a focus for their practice
• My students can see & hear how their playing will progress
• Others in the community discover just how much fun it is
• It gives us an opportunity to support charities in our community

The charity angle means a lot to me. There is nearly always at least one player whose family or friends are, at that moment, indebted to a local charity for help and support, because of illness or bereavement. I'm proud to raise money for local charities, the work of which often only becomes apparent in times of crisis.

So far we have raised over £80,910 for local good causes
