About the free ensemble music starter pack

Here is a variety of guitar ensembles you can download: free guitar duets, trios, quartets and more.

It's impossible to find free music that appeals to everyone. Besides, most of my guitar arrangements that my pupils really enjoy are published, and hence under copyright.

My Lessons stress that it's better to play a piece that's too easy than attempt one that's too hard, so my pack purposely contains simple ensembles requiring minimal preparation time.
A piece which is too easy gives you instant gratification and leaves you wanting more.
A piece which is too hard just leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.

If these pieces leave you wanting more - I'm sure they will - read the "Where Next" section.

Don't be surprised that virtually everything can be played in the First position.
Do be surprised how it sounds!

Christmas music always works well in a newly-formed ensemble.
Strong melodies, regular rhythm and short phrases are easy to "debug" and a lot of fun to play.

Much modern Christmas music is excellent on Guitar, but copyright restrictions prevent me putting up some of my favourite arrangements. But enjoy these too - and discover than many countries have set the same words to quite different melodies. Non-UK visitors might find at least one unexpected tune in here!
