United Church - Winchester concert venue

About United Church Winchester

Beautifully modernised and with the addition of a false floor, this Church retains the splendid acoustics of old, with an altogether more intimate and warm feel brought about by the change of scale of the roof.

Situated in busy Jewry Street Winchester, an unassuming exterior conceals a quiet and spacious haven of calm, with comfortable seating, excellent visibility and a generous acoustic which benefits from the lower, angled roof.

Accessibility

The building has level access for wheelchairs, and plenty of space to place wheelchairs on the end of the rows. There is a gentle ramp inside the building from street level to the auditorium on the first floor. Wheelchair users might appreciate a push, because although the ramp isn't steep, it's rather lengthy.
