About St Paul's Church Chichester
Built in traditional Sussex Flint in 1836, the Church has an unassuming exterior, and sits in a large plot of land adjacent to what is now one of the largest roundabouts in Chichester.
Conveniently situated close to the Festival Theatre, and with ample parking just a few yards away, the Church is an ideal size for Guitar Concerts which, like ours, feature a dozen guitarists playing together.
Accessibility
The Church has level access for wheelchairs. There are disabled toilets which are easily accessible from the rear of the Church.
St Paul's Church has a capacity of several hundred, all with excellent visibility - no pillars in the way! The interior is surprisingly bright and airy, moreso because of the sombre external appearance, and the Church has double glazing that removes all hint of external noise from the main road outside.
Beautifully decorated internally, the Church is an excellent and popular Concert venue.
Travel information
Arriving by train
Alight at Chichester station. Walk out of the station entrance and head North towards the town.
The Church is a pleasant ten minute walk through the partly-pedestrianised shopping centre - use the map here
The orange arrow shows the Church. The station is just off the bottom of the map, just below South Street.

Arriving by car
To the right of the Church on the map is an empty space. This is the Festival Theatre Car Park, where there is ample parking, and which is well signed on all the main roads around Chichester.
Visitors from the West - join the A27 eastbound.
Visitors from the East - join the A27 westbound.
As you approach the City, follow the directions to the Ring Road and look for the Midhurst Road (A286).
The Church is situated on the main Chichester Ring Road, adjacent to the Midhurst Road, and it is easier to follow the road signs than to describe the structure of the ring road! The large roundabout, due north of the City, has a Fire Station on it. Just after you pass the Fire Station on your right, the church is on your left. Ahead is the Festival Car Park.
Visitors from the North - take the A286 road south from Midhurst. As you reach the Ring Road, the Festival Car Park is on your left - the entrance is from the roundabout.

Although at the time this page was prepared, the Church did not have a website, a search of the Internet pops up all manner of interesting artefacts about St Paul's, from information about the former Church bells to the floor plan of the Church when it was built.
