About St Nicholas Church North End
Despite a weathered and timeless appearance that makes the Church's age hard to estimate, this is actually a young building, dating from the time that the surrounding estate was built. As the second of our photos illustrates, the Church is suprisingly light and airy, despite its rather foreboding exterior.

There is plenty of on-street parking and the Church is also well served by buses which stop at the end of the road.
Note that although Hilsea station is not far away, the station has a sporadic service outside of rush hours. The nearest stations with a good service are Fratton (for trains from London and Brighton) and Cosham (for trains from Southampton).
Accessibility
The Hall has level access for wheelchairs via the West Door, though there are no disabled toilets in the building. Facilities exist in the adjacent Church Hall, to which there is also level access.
The Church has good visibility from all seats although there are a number of side aisles to catch and trap our sound. We recommend coming early to bag a front seat...
As with many of our Church Concerts, people have been known to bring a small cushion for the wooden seats!
