St James - Emsworth concert venue

About St James Church Emsworth

Situated to the north side of Emsworth, the Church is a pleasant stroll from the Railway Station and from the fast bus service that runs between Portsmouth and Brighton.

Emsworth, in the very South Eastern corner of Hampshire, is on the old A27 (now the A259 from Havant to Bosham and Chichester), and a few minutes from the Warblington turn-off from the motorway-standard A27 dual-carriageway between Havant and Chichester.

The exterior and interior of the Church are in a beautiful condition, and the interior is light, with a tight acoustic that gives good audibility throughout the spacious seating area. With both a North and a South Aisle to the sides of the main body of the Church, there is ample seating with good visibility.

Accessibility

The building has level access for wheelchairs, and plenty of space to place wheelchairs on the end of the rows. It should be noted that the toilets, however, are not currently accessible to wheelchairs. What better reason could there be to support their Restoration Funds and help refurbish the Church and its Hall!
