About Portsmouth Guildhall

As well as being home to the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth and a number of local government departments, the magnificent Guildhall building houses a 2000-seater auditorium which is regularly used for prestigious concerts and events.

Travel directions

Arriving by train

Alight at Portsmouth and Southsea Station. The Guildhall is 200 metres to the south of the station.

Arriving by car

From the west, take the M27. From the east, take the A27. From the north, take the A3M and follow it as it bears right onto the A27.

Take the M275 south onto Portsea Island. From the end of the M275, follow the signs for Isle of Wight Ferries and Southsea. After a mile, there will be signs for the Guildhall. Turn left after Victoria Swimming Pool (on your left) and continue to follow the signs for the Guildhall which will direct you to the nearest multi-storey car park.

Accessibility

Wheelchair users have full access to all areas of the Guildhall. Toilets are available in the Basement Level, accessible by lifts. If you are attending a concert and need to remain in your wheelchair during the performance, please inform the box office when purchasing your tickets.
