The Hampshire Guitar Orchestra

I formed hago in 1999 to challenge some of my most supportive players. Formed initially from the 12 Workshop players who had chosen, rehearsed and performed their own ensemble items in my 1998 Christmas Concert, hago meets once a fortnight and now includes players from all over Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.
Our aims
To bring guitar into the community, to widen the repertoire of guitar ensemble and to raise money for local charities
Our music
The hago music Collection contains over 50 pieces in 5 to 8 parts. We have contrabass, bass and alto guitars, which give us an almost harp-like sound.

Vacancies
Attendance is always 100% or very nearly so, and our rehearsals are focussed and purposeful. Our goal is to keep improving - simple as that.
